Platform Product Manager

As a Platform Product Manager, you are a key member of the International Platform Team which is responsible for building the proprietary platform that is fundamental to Happening Group’s international expansion and growth ambitions.

In this role, you will lead a team of cross-functional people to design, build and launch platform capabilities and features, which are necessary to launch into many new markets over the next few years. You will work with many stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and other areas to prioritize and plan your roadmap and define requirements.

At Happening you will get to work with some of the best Product and Technology talents, who have come from some of the biggest Tech companies in the world to deliver industry-leading Sports and Gaming products. You will play a key part in helping this growth-oriented ‘challenger’ to achieve podium positions in many global sports betting markets.

We're looking for someone with:

• 3+ years of experience in Product Management
• Experience in defining teams' OKRs
• Experience in building complex roadmap
• Experience in steering technical implementation discussions

Bonus Points:

• Experience in building regulated products across different markets
• Experience in building Backoffice products
• Experience in setting product vision strategy
• Experience in building proprietary APIs

What you'll be doing?

Product Execution

• Leading a cross-functional product team with designers, researchers, and engineers to build platform capabilities and product features that help take Happenings’s proprietary platform to the next level
• Translate the product vision and strategy into clear and detailed product requirements
• Identify and understand Happening’s internal and external end-user behavior and needs to define requirements that shape suitable platform capabilities and product features;
• Create best-in-class, scalable capabilities and features that help take Happening’s proprietary platform to the next level;
• Discuss and make the right scope trade-off decisions to iteratively develop and launch capabilities and features in a high-quality manner;
• Coordinate launch plans with marketing, commercial teams, and support teams;
• Partner with the Tech Compliance Team to understand regulatory compliance, GDPR, AML, and security requirements and ensure they are incorporated into the overall requirements and well understood by the Engineers.
• Input and define UAT scenarios with the QA engineer and perform UAT and end-to-end testing.

Customer and Competitor Insight

• Drive discovery and utilize customer feedback from multiple touchpoints across the organization to help better understand customer’s problems and needs;
• Use data and insights to formulate product hypotheses
• Make data-driven decisions using customer research, behavioral, product, and commercial data;
• Define what success looks like for your capabilities and features and use data to measure performance post-launch.
• Ensure you have awareness of our key competitors in each market we operate in or plan to launch in and incorporate findings into the roadmap and requirements.

Influencing People

• Engage with your stakeholders to understand their expectations and incorporate their feedback, where appropriate.
• Set the right expectations with stakeholders and effectively communicate status and progress on outcomes and deliverables.
• With the Engineering Lead, plan and lead the team ceremonies (e.g. grooming sessions, daily stand-ups)

Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Understand the overall strategic direction of the company and how your area relates.
• Build and maintain a roadmap for your area that aims to deliver on short-term and long-term objectives, which align with the overall company and product strategy.
• Drive your roadmap from ideation and product discovery through to in-life product management
• Be responsible for inputting into and defining the quarterly Objectives and Key Results within your product team;
• Prioritise initiatives based on customer value and need, business viability, and Technology feasibility.
